Layla is 1!

I just can't believe she is one! It has gone by really fast, but it also feels like a lot has happened in that year so it feels longer... does that make any sense? She is so fun! Here are some cute and fun things about Layla and some photos and a video.

• She loves to play with mom and dad, but especially dad! She has caught on to 'playing' and loves to chase us around and wrestle. She laughs so adorably. She LOVES to chase the vacuum, that is so funny to watch. Here is a video of daddy playing with Layla:

• She is so smart! If I give her a hair bow she puts it up to her head. If she is playing with her shoes, she tries to put them on her feet. She figured out a flash card app on my phone a few months ago. Here is a video of that one:

• She is still tall (95 % for height), but has thinned out a little (73% for weight).
• She loves all the animals we see on our walks, especially dogs.
• She holds almost every toy up to her ear like a phone and says "hi".
• She enjoys books and will sit and look at them forever! She really loves to have them read to her as well.
  
• She is a happy sweet girl. She is the happiest when there are lots of people around. She especially loves little kids.
  
• She loves the kids at church and they love her. One of my friends called me and said her boys said their favorite part of church was sitting behind Layla. She has a friend named Lizzy who likes to yell her name "yaya" during sacrament meeting. Layla has started to say her name as well.. it is pretty cute but a little distracting!

I made Layla's dress, cake and cupcakes! I thought they turned out pretty cute! The dress was a little difficult to take off when it came time to eat the cake. Thankfully we didn't have to cut it off!

She didn't like her cake, I think it was a dirty hand issue because everyone else liked it...



She did finally eat some cupcake in her highchair...
She will probably be begging for cake in a few years! My mom joined us via videochat!
