We spent part of August in Utah and we had so much fun! Layla and I were there for three weeks and Chad joined us for one week. While Chad was there we went to a family reunion in Bear Lake. We stayed at the KOA in these little cabins (that was as close to camping as Chad likes to get.) We were able to have access to a nice families private beach and it was beautiful weather. We borrowed our neighbors water weenie and I have not had that much fun in ages. Chad and I laughed so hard riding and falling off of that thing! We really enjoyed getting to see my family and a few of our friends. It had been too long since we had seen everyone. We won't let it be that long again!

For those of you who do not know, I married a very funny, sweet man! Here are a few funny things that have been said or happened in our life lately.
A coworker of Chad's at McDonald's came up to him one morning and said "Um you called me last night and you were singing some song about popcorn on trees." Chad was singing Popcorn popping on the apricot tree to Layla and had accidentally called him. I'm sure he had a good laugh.. I did when I heard about it.
I was singing "They say its your Birthday" and asked Chad if he knew that Beatles song. He said "I don't know that song, the only Beatles song I know is "Hey, Hey we're the Monkeys and people say we monkey around.. I laughed for a long time..
Those of you who know Chad will appreciate this one: He said "It is so funny how the second thing people say after they say 'she is the cutest baby I have ever seen' is that she looks like me.
Chad needed sun protection while we were at Bear Lake. The cheapest most practical thing we could find was a do rag. It was only $5 and it covered his head and neck.. BONUS! For some reason he won't wear it in public-
We had some car drama lately and I just need to replay a part of what happened. Chad picked me up from the airport and about half way home the car the started to over heat. We tried to turn on the heater but it didn't work needless to say we pulled up to our apartment entrance and there was smoke billowing out of my old faithful jeep. I started to panic.. I didn't want it to start on fire and then explode! We quickly got Layla out and Chad asked me to call my dad (our go to man for car issues and so many other things!) I said "I'm not calling my dad if this thing is going to blow... so I called 911. As we were unloading our luggage a little ways away from the car Chad heard the sirens. He looked up and said "Did you call 911?" I said "Yes, I thought it was going to explode." By this point the smoke had died down a little. I said "do you want me to call back and cancel?" Just as I said that they pulled around the corner- two firetrucks and two police cars.. I wanted to hide I was so embarrassed! The firefighters looked at the jeep with Chad he said "I'm sorry guys, I thought my wife was on the phone with her dad. I didn't realize she had called 911." I think they felt bad for him.. I don't blame him for throwing me under the bus a little, I would have done the same thing. I REALLY did think it was going to explode though! Chad was sweet and just laughed with me as we wheeled all of our luggage to the apartment after everyone left.
Laughter truly is the best medicine!

HILARIOUS! Love the do rag and the 911 story. Don't men realize it is always better to be safe than sorry? If that car really had blown up you would have been the hero of the whole story for your quick thinking!
HAHAHA! Oh my gosh, these stories made me laugh so hard. Chad really is hilarious! And Layla is beautiful. Glad to hear the Gray's are doing well. :)
Oh my word, I love that 911 story! You crack me up, I wish we could be neighbors:) Layla is so so cute! And yes Chad she does just look like you, but that does not mean that you are the cutest man in the world! haha jk. Keep it up with the funny stories, I love to hear how you are doing:) Hey guess what? Someone here was selling one of the retro Mcd's highchairs on craigs list. It was too much though:(
I love seeing the beautiful pictures of Layla. It was fun to see her and all of you last month. Too bad we didn't get to see her crawling. She will probably be walking the next time we see her.
Just saw your mom at Jamies wedding. I really like her and love her. And it really makes me happy to read your blog and see how happy you are with a good husband and baby!!! Many prayers went out for you and Sara and I always knew Heavenly Father had a plan for both of you. Love Stephanie Wilkey
